Rocket Riot released on iOS

November 11th, 2011 2:47 pm by Codeglue

Hey there,

Did you think we were done here? Silly you, of course not! We’re always hard at work to either make our games more awesome or to make sure as many people as possible get to play them. So we started thinking… “Isn’t there something we’re forgetting with Rocket Riot?”

Then someone told us there’s this small company that makes cool devices that you can play games on (among other things). You might have heard of them… They’re called Apple.

So, it is with great pride and excitement that we can now announce: Rocket Riot HD is out on iOS! It’s compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation and higher) and iPad! Thanks to our publishing partner Chillingo and because we’re such nice guys, you can buy it for the insanely low price of $0.99! Try and come up with an excuse for not buying it now!

Go download it from the app store here: Rocket Riot HD for iOS

Thanks and we hope you enjoy it!

Cheers,
Your friendly neighborhood Rocket Riot dev team!

A Rocket Riot review (for Windows Phone 7)

October 28th, 2010 10:46 am by Codeglue

Hey Rocketeers,

as you might have noticed, we released a little game called Rocket Riot a while back on Xbox Live Arcade. Well, we’ve also released a version on Windows Phone 7 now! We are one of the first games to launch on Microsoft’s new mobile platform and we’re pretty damn proud of that!

We’ve been getting some pretty positive responses to the game recently and the reviews are starting to come in. So without further ado, here is one of the first reviews we came across! It’s from a site called bestwp7games.com (and we certainly don’t mind being featured on a site with that name!)

Here is the review:
Rocket Riot : Dual stick shooter for Windows Phone 7
Make sure to check out the video review as well because it really shows how the game plays on a phone quite well. We didn’t get a grade or anything, but I have it on good authority the reviewer is completely addicted to the game, so that’s a good sign!

Alright, that’s all for now!

Keep on truckin’ and shootin’

The Rocket Riot team!

Rocket Riot for Windows Phone 7 has now been released!

October 19th, 2010 2:41 pm by admin

OK ladies and gents; are you ready to be blown away with Rocket Riot™, on the spanking new Windows Phone 7? On the Thursday, October 21st, the new and improved mobile version of the awesome action-packed side-view shooter Rocket Riot, is available on Zune.

In this highly stylized eight-bit era style game, you have to blast your way through destructible environments, battle against the strangest (and coolest!) enemies, uncover tons of special power-ups  and use the regenerating environment to your own advantage.

What else is new? Besides the 48 single-player missions with progressively increasing difficulty, there is a new and unique Challenge Mode. In this mode you invite friends to take on specific challenges in order to get the highest score. And it’s all about the highscore right?

As you might know, the Windows Phone 7 (WP7) features a multi touch display, which utilizes the new control schemes of Rocket Riot perfectly. You can even use the Windows Phone 7’s tilt sensor for motion control! How cool is that?

And we’re not the only one that is excited about this new iteration of Rocket Riot. Our fellow Dutchman, Matthijs Hoekstra from Microsoft Benelux, made a nice blogpost about it. And there is even more excitement to share with you guys…

Prior to the release of Rocket Riot, we did some interviews with Mobile Tech World and Pocket Gamer. Make sure you don’t miss out, as they are an interesting read if we may say so.

Last but not least: if you want to show your appreciation for Rocket Rocket, please do on the 2010 Mashable Awards. The Mashable Awards celebrate major innovations and achievements in the digital and social media landscape by companies, people and projects via an open platform. Your vote will be much appreciated!

What? You’re still here? Go and get your hands dirty! Let the riot commence once again…

Rocket Riot for WP7 revealed!

August 24th, 2010 2:21 pm by Codeglue
As said, last week four of us, traveled to Cologne (Germany) to visit Gamescom. We hadn’t even got off the train when Microsoft announced the first games on their new Windows Phone 7 platform. Rocket Riot is going to be one of them! They even demoed the game on their booth together with a bunch of other games. We think the game is getting pretty awesome. It is just as explosive as the Xbox version, so these new Windows phones are pretty powerful! Here’s some more information for you to digest about the announcement:
Exclusive preview on Engadget:

And here is our producer Maarten playing the game on the show floor:

We think the first WP7 phones will be out in October already, so it won’t be long until you can carry our lovely pirate Blockbeard with you! :)

Codeglue will be at Gamescom!

August 11th, 2010 2:49 pm by Codeglue

Codeglue will be attending Gamescom in Cologne from August 18-20th.

Last year’s Gamescom was great and became the largest games trade fair in the world so naturally we are attending again! You can find us in Hall 4.2, Stand E031a, as part of the Holland Pavilion. Maybe we will even have something new and cool to show you. Maybe we just can’t talk about it yet… Maybe we shouldn’t be so secretive and stop teasing you…

To book meetings with any of us, please contact Peter de Jong who will coordinate all meetings: peter@codeglue.com
