Guess what…

We won a Dutch Game Award for Rocket Riot in the Best Visual Design category! Wow! We are very, VERY proud of that!

Now, I can hear some of you thinking “Pah, who cares about the Dutch Game Awards! What games have the Dutch ever made?!” Well, let me edumacate you kids a bit: Killzone 2, Overlord 2 and Swords & Soldiers were some of the Dutch games competing for the awards this year!

And we beat the multi-million dollar production Killzone 2 and the awesome looking Swords & Soldiers for Best Visual Design! Now, that should mean something to you!

Once again, we are very proud of this. So thanks to anyone who supported us and bought, played and enjoyed the game. You guys are awesome!

The second annual Free Gaming Festival was held in Rotterdam last saturday, July 18th 2009. Rocket Riot was on display in Xbox tent with a whopping 5 Rocket Riot demo pods! Big crowds gathered around 12 a.m. as the Rocket Riot competitions started! The stakes were high because there were t-shirts and posters to be won! Some people stepped up to the challenge and did the best they could and some people went a step beyond and practiced for an hour before even entering the competition! Now that’s dedication!

Tomorrow (July 18th) is the second edition of the Free Gaming Festival in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The organisation behind the festival was kind enough to provide us with five demo pods on the show floor where everybody will be able to play Rocket Riot! We are in good company with other demo pods for Red Faction: Guerilla, Fight Night Round 4, Gears of War 2 and Fuel! In fact, we have more demo pods than those big, expensive games!

There will be a Rocket Riot competition between 4 and 6 p.m. for some very cool, exclusive Rocket Riot swag! So if you think you’re the best Rocket Riot player around sign up and compete!
